Simultaneous evaluation of Security, Performance, Maintainability, and Reliability perspectives
In multi-agent architectures, diverse architectural perspectives must deliberate over the same codebase. Previously, identical resident model targets triggered serialized provider locks. Under EngineSlotGate(mode='model_aware'), these perspectives share available engine slots concurrently, dropping total deliberation turnaround time by up to 1.95x.

Fan-out repair across temperatures [0.0, 0.2, 0.8] with eager cancellation
When an automated unit test or AST check fails, Verdict dispatches 3 speculative repair candidates across temperatures 0.0, 0.2, and 0.8 concurrently. The first candidate to satisfy the Fast Check Adapter triggers instant cancellation of the remaining in-flight tasks via asyncio.wait(FIRST_COMPLETED), cutting recovery wall time by ~2x and preserving memory bandwidth.

Demonstrating true parallel slot scaling with massive prompt token ingestion
In complex real-world code generation, prompts routinely ingest entire modules, AST structures, and dependency graphs (~18,000 tokens). Under the 66k configuration, each of the 4 slots had a hard ceiling of 16,500 tokens (66,000 / 4), causing 18k prompts to immediately violate slot capacity and drop concurrency to N=1 or fail. Under the 262k configuration, the per-slot budget expands to 65,536 tokens, enabling all 4 slots to concurrently process 18k prompts with zero errors.
| Test Workload | Concurrency (C) | Prompt Tokens / Slot | Total Active Tokens | Wall-Clock Time | Throughput | 66k Status | 262k Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| High-Context 18k C1 | C = 1 | 17,791 tokens | 17,890 tokens | 26.56 s | 3.73 tok/s | FAILED (17.8k > 16.5k) | 200 OK (27% slot cap) |
| High-Context 18k C2 | C = 2 | 17,791 tokens | 35,780 tokens | 53.87 s | 3.68 tok/s | FAILED (17.8k > 16.5k) | 200 OK (27% slot cap) |
| High-Context 18k C4 | C = 4 | 17,791 tokens | 71,560 tokens | 111.24 s | 3.56 tok/s | FAILED (17.8k > 16.5k) | 200 OK (Full 4-Slot Load) |
Why Verdict expands context headroom without throughput degradation or RAM inflation
Standard local engines pre-allocate contiguous KV-cache buffers for the maximum context window upon model load ($K \times C_{\text{max}}$). Under a 262k configuration, static allocation would consume over 40+ GB of VRAM immediately, starving OS processes and slowing memory bandwidth.
Verdict's MLX engine utilizes on-demand dynamic page allocation. When loaded, resident memory is strictly the 19.53 GB model weights. KV-cache pages are allocated on the Apple Silicon Unified Memory bus only as tokens are generated, freeing memory instantly upon request completion.
